A few weeks ago at Star Wars Celebration Europe, a trailer for season three of Star Wars Rebels was released. The trailer is embedded below. The trailer revealed that a fan favorite from the old EU, now Legends, would be reappearing in Star Wars cannon for the first time.
Grand Admiral Thrawn, the main protagonist from the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy of books, will return to Star Wars this fall. After the trailer was shown, they also announced that Timothy Zahn is working on a new novel entitled "Thrawn."
Truly this is an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan!
